Breakfast VHS of Champions details

I think this movie was an EXCELLENT adaptation of the book. The only fault I find with the plot change is that in the movie version, Dwayne’s wife is still alive, and in the book, she’d already committed suicide. I think it’s better for her to already be dead; it eliminates the which-woman-do-I-choose problem that takes away from the real story.

The movie is less depressing than the book, especially at the end. I think that’s fine. In fact, I highly recommend reading the book and watching the movie at the same time–or as close to the same time as you can. If you are familiar with the illustrations in the book, the movie credits are HYSTERICAL!

Boys VHS Brazil From no mad

I am a big fan of Peck and Olivier, and I was eager to see this movie so I ordered it as soon as it came out on DVD. What a disappointment. The plot is so ridiculous and the screenplay is terrible. Maybe the book was better but I don’t feel like reading it anymore. What a waste of a great cast. Olivier’s performance is believable but that’s it. And I mean IT. Nothing else is enjoyable in this waste of time and space on my DVD shelf. Poor Peck tries but sometimes I laugh when he recites some of his lines “kill za boy” and he is such a cliché taken out of a comic book. Avoid at any cost. Bad bad bad.
One Good thing though. Steve Guttenberg gets killed early in the movie. The pain was reduced.

VHS Periscope Down to you

I was expecting better laughs, not a slapstick comedy. There were only a few other laughs than people geting hit.

Think of s VHS Clues Blue ?

HDMI cables are extremely expensive in the stores, and since there is no variance in quality (either they work or they don’t), why pay more? These cables are cheap and work great!

I love Abbotts Inventing the VHS

This movie is set in the 1950s, Inventing the Abbotts is a dramatic look at the life of two boys from the wrong side of the tracks and their interaction with the three daughters of local aristocrat Lloyd Abbott. The boys, Jacey and Doug have only three things in common, their family, table tennis and chasing the Abbott sisters. An excellent movie with fine characterizations by all actors. A must-see for fans of drama and romance, who can be patient with plot development as long as the characters are strong. In the end it is worth it. An excellent, real-to-life drama in Smalltown USA.

VHS Classics 1 Music series

This pedometer is the best. I love it. But it stopped working on me after a few weeks of use. Not sure why that happened. I wrote the company and they said they would replace it. So it’s all good. I just need to get around to doing that.

Say hi to Heaven Cold VHS

.

This is my second iPod Touch. I owned a 1G iPod Touch which went through the washing machine and came out very clean but non functional.

I use this mainly for reading books using Stanza. It will hold a lot of them. 64GB is a crazy amount of space. I fit my entire music collection, all my pictures and still had room left over. Lately I’ve cut back my music to what I really like, and I’m ripping my DVD collection into MP4’s and loading them onto this device.

Recently I spent 12 days sailing on the ocean and this was my book reader, music player, and video player. It is just about all you need in a slender package.

In the past I used those rubber covers. I liked that they would stick and hold this in position when I put it down. However, they did not hold up. Now I use it without a cover, and I’ve dedicated my front left pocket to this device alone–to prevent scratches.

There are lots of aps out there. I like Things, and Stanza the most. It is good for games, but why waste your time with that when you could be reading. The only game I play any more is Sudoku–because it puts me to sleep at night.

Battery life is good. I adjust the brightest to the lowest usable setting. Most times I use it at night, so it lasts a real long time for me. I have an external battery made by Griffin for long plane rides. I find I don’t use that much. It is better to carry along a charger and an extension cord, and plug in before you get on a plane–while waiting. When I do that I don’t seem to need the external battery.

It is a library in your pocket for music, books, and videos.

Cons:

It is wifi only. I’ve found that most places I go to often offer Wifi-so I can check my email and web browse.

As a web browser, it works, but not very well. You constantly spend your time resizing things so you can read them, and the contracting them to see the whole page again.

Price? Maybe, I feel it is well worth the price. Apple products are products done right.
