I used to have an older hoover but the hoses went on it. This one is not nearly as heavy as the old hoover carpet cleaner. However, it does a very good job cleaning the carpets. Definitely better than the older hoover I had. I can see the difference right after I did the job.

Tired of seeing HDMI cables selling for $12 and up at retail stores, I went to Amazon and found this cable. I figured for $2.50 including shipping how could I lose? Wow – they were shipped quickly, and they work just fine. I am so glad I did not spend the inflated prices at the store. I think the stores discount the TV’s and then rip you on things like cables and mounts. At least I felt like I won one with this cable!

This is a great case for my Nikon Coolpix P90. It’s slightly larger than what I need, but the extra room may come in handy and it’s nice not having to squeeze cables or cards into it.

I am very happy with this scale. All I need from a scale is accuracy and reliability. I had bought one from a different manufacturer that kept track of weight, BMI, and water for four separate people but it was wildly inconsistent and I had to tap it in exactly the right spot to activate it. It was a waste of money. I bought the EatSmart Precision Scale with large backlit display that doesn’t need to be tapped. I am very happy to have a simple scale that I can just step on that gives me a consistent reading on a display I can read.

This cooler came with my 17 inch gaming laptop in 2004. It kept it fairly cool, but was slippery.

I used it on top of a lap desk on my lap, which made a slightly unstable stack, since the 11# (5Kg) laptop was on top. The manufacturer did not have any suggestions as to keeping it together. One day as I reached for the phone, the inevitable happened, it slid to the carpeted floor (about a foot). The USB cable snapped off the cooler, and I took it to a comrade in the IT dept at work, to fix, & he ‘lost’ it.

I bought an X-pad (VERY stable), which someone compared to putting the notebook on a stack of books (fine for smaller units), so I gave it to my son for his 13″ notebook, then a NotePal, very unstable (slipped to floor again and-don’t laugh-and killed my hard drive) but with good fans.

I’m now looking at the Antec USB-Powered Notebook Cooler & a new Alienware M17x laptop (hey, it’s been 5 years).

If anyone reads this and knows… since the Antec pulls air _away_ from the bottom of the laptop, and the Alien pulls air _in_ from the bottom, can I flip over the Antec for best results?

I used my SteamVac for the first time last night and I was THRILLED with it. I’ve never used an upright like this before so it was awesome to watch the brown gunk flow into the tank. If I’d been watching an info-mercial, I would have thought it was fake, BUT NO! It was 100% gunk being removed from my carpet that appeared clean.
I used the machine for about 20 minutes and just to test it, I touched the carpet and it as nearly dry. I’m seriously in love with this thing! I was tempted to get the puppies dirty just so I could clean the carpet again.
I would recommend this product!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just wanted to warn others about a major drawback of the Windows 7 Starter Operating System that this netbook comes with. I wasn’t aware of it when I made my purchase, and I wish I had been. Windows 7 Starter is a very scaled back version of Windows 7 that is only available pre-installed on netbooks. It it does not have full-featured functionality. It does not, for example, allow a user to change their desktop background. The stock blue Windows background it comes with is what you’re stuck with, unless you use third-party workarounds. You also cannot change window colors or sound schemes. Additionally, it does not offer DVD playback. So, if you had planned on attaching a portable drive to watch movies–think again. I highly recommend doing your own research into the limitations of Windows 7 Starter before you buy, if you plan to use it as your primary operating system.
