Nice enough e-reader but the inability to access library books is a bummer. Why “buy” a book and not be able to share it. I can loan a hard copy of a purchased book to anybody. This product is way to restrictive. I returned it! Amazon e-books are very expensive. I don’t get it….no printing or distribution cost.

After I heard from many friends that this book was a “must read”, I finally purchased it and completed reading it within two weeks. It’s hard to believe that this is Kathryn Stockett’s first novel. I loved how the story was told through three individual voices. I enjoyed laughing out loud at Minny’s exploits. It would be nice to see a sequel novel with a follow-up on the main characters, or one specifically about Miss Celia’s life. I’d like to read the book mentioned in the acknowledgements, “Telling Memories Among Southern Women” by Susan Tucker, to read about actual relationships between employers and domestic help from that time period. I can’t wait to see if this novel is made into a movie, as I think it will.

Don’t expect anything groundbreaking here. Anything that will force you to go deep. Anything that will challenge your views and keep you thinking. Anything meaningful. This is just a girl’s fantasy novel. It’s interesting and entertaining, but that is about as far as it goes.

Jorn Lande is one of the keepers of the melodic rock flame. His singing style is comparable to David Coverdale with even more power and passion. I know it sounds hard to believe but it’s true. His songwriting is strong reflecting his classic rock influences such as Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple and Whitesnake. The production on his albums is second to none. The only negative points I can mention regarding his last few solo albums is that the songs can get a little too similar in style and the album running times are getting shorter. These are minor complaints in light of the consistent quality of music he releases and I have no hesitation in recommending this latest solo album. The bonus track “The Sun Goes Down” by Thin Lizzy is definitely a highlight of this release.

I am really pleased with this vacuum. It may not be fancy or have lots of bells and whistles but it gets the job done well. The sucking power is amazing. I feel like my carpet is really clean and free from pet hair. All the attachments work well and get into all the nooks and crannies of a home. I am very happy with the vacuum and the price that I paid for it. I haven’t had any problems with it and I don’t have any complaints about it at this time. I recommend it highly.

A great book to get a perspective of the 60s segregation in the South. I have always heard that in the 60’s there was a lot of racism, but I really did not realize how much. The book really shows how far racism has come in the last 50 years. I enjoyed seeing the story told from both perspectives, the black housemaids and the white employers.

The book read really well. I loved how the book was written in the black southern ascent (when in the view of the housemaids), but I was disappointed that they did not do the same for the white people. The book was written in a way that made you not want to stop reading it. Once I got about half way through the book, I kept finding myself wanting to know what was going to happen next. This made me read through the book really fast.

For one that did not live in the 60s, I would recommend this book to everyone.
