I absolutely loved “The Catcher in the Rye.” Thought it was an excellent book with an extremely interesting main character, Holden Caulfield. I’m not going to give away any plot material for those who haven’t yet read the story, but I would like to say that I really loved how easily I could understand Holden’s thoughts. Salinger did a great job of portraying a person like Holden Caulfield. Too bad Salinger never allowed it to become a movie…

Nice enough e-reader but the inability to access library books is a bummer. Why “buy” a book and not be able to share it. I can loan a hard copy of a purchased book to anybody. This product is way to restrictive. I returned it! Amazon e-books are very expensive. I don’t get it….no printing or distribution cost.

I bought the Cuisinart Immersion blender a year and a half ago, and used it 2-3 times a week with passable (if noisy and slighly lumpy) results, until it died last week. I was pleased with my Cuisnart until I replaced it with the KitchenAid Immersion blender. This thing ROCKS. It’s quieter, twice as powerful (check the amps!), has nine speeds AND a detachable blade arm for easy, submersable, cleanup. Best of all, it leaves no lumps. You can taste the difference!

This is my first Ipod Touch and I love how it feels, it works, and the App Store. The last really makes it worth it. I hardly use the Music player except on long drives in the weekends. For which I got an over the FM streaming device that plugs into the ITouch.

Initially I had a couple of issues that bothered me no end. When I opened it out of the box and charged it through my computer running Windows XP, I noticed that the Itunes Store and Apps Store icons on the home screen were not there. After going through the manual and consulting with other Apple users at work, I realized that these icons come pre-installed and cannot be deleted. I called tech support and went through a complete firmware re-install that got these icons (took about 10-15 minutes). I lost a bunch of data but this was only one hassle of the re-installation process. More importantly I lost the Safari browser and Youtube icons after the re-install. At this point, I was tempted to return the Ipod to Amazon because I thought it was defective and that was the reason that Amazon was discounting it on its website. It was very frustrating because it was ruining the whole experience.

After a day or so, I reluctantly went through the firmware re-install process again myself (didn’t call tech support). Again lost all the data but this time everything started working. Took about 20-30 minutes because of all the data lost had to be synced again.

So, very frustrating first week but a great experience then after.

This movie is set in the 1950s, Inventing the Abbotts is a dramatic look at the life of two boys from the wrong side of the tracks and their interaction with the three daughters of local aristocrat Lloyd Abbott. The boys, Jacey and Doug have only three things in common, their family, table tennis and chasing the Abbott sisters. An excellent movie with fine characterizations by all actors. A must-see for fans of drama and romance, who can be patient with plot development as long as the characters are strong. In the end it is worth it. An excellent, real-to-life drama in Smalltown USA.

Tripp Lite RBC51 Replacement

This is amazing. I love books and never dreamed that I wanted an electronic reader,and even though I will continue buying some books, the availability of reading materials on this electronic device is mind boggling. I’d have to say I’ve never been so excited about anything since the times I used to get a new toy and as a Grandmother, I buy them for others, not myself, except now.The other great feature is that I always have something to read and don’t have to carry books with me when I’m not home.
Don’t even think twice before purchasing this, you won’t regret it

This scale is very nice looking and quite accurate. The only concern I have is that whenever I change the measurement unit, the weight is inaccurate about a few minutes. For instance, if you change the unit from lb to kg, it weighs about 3 kg more. If I wait a little bit and check myself again, the weight shows the accurate one.
