Kartell Trays by Trolley change

I am very happy with my purchase. It allows me to track all aspects of my run. I like that I can set pace alerts, heart beat alerts, distance alerts and location alerts… all tools that allow me to train better and smarter. I haven’t used it while biking yet, but have heard it is great as well.

Is Music Classic the Inside suck?

This DVD-Audio disc is a collection of rock music from the EMI/Capitol/Chrysalis collections. It includes 11 tracks, such as George Thorogood’s “Bad to the Bone”, J. Geils Band’s “Centerfold” and Billy Idol’s “Rebel Yell”. 5.1 channel mixes are presented in 96kHz 24-bit PPCM, DTS and Dolby Digital. The 96kHz mix can be automagically mixed-down to stereo on most DVD-Audio players.

I wish I could say this is a excellent mix. Unfortunately, the first three tracks (”Bad to the Bone”, “Rebel Yell” and to a lesser extent “Green-Eyed Lady”) suffer from a loss of high-end treble and extra LFE/SB. Compared to Warner Music DVD-Audio discs, the LFE channel levels are extremely high.

On the plus side, once track 4 starts, this is a very listenable disc. The mixes are consistent even though they were done by five engineers. Surprisingly, the 1960’s “Time Won’t Let Me” by The Outsiders sounds very good given the source material. The cheesy organ music sounds like, well, very clean cheesy organ music.

The highlights from a mix standpoint may be “Centerfold” and “On the Road Again” by Canned Heat (never thought I’d write that!).

The disc has the usual DVD-Audio problems – long time skipping between tracks. On early DVD-Audio players, you’ll see (but thankfully not hear) the Silverline promo before the music. The Pioneer Elite DV-38A plays the music before any promo and without the need for menu selections (no video required).

The disc does contain still photos of the various bands. These photos will sequence as the music plays. Quite frankly, I just want to hear the music and don’t really care about the “video extras”.

In any event, if the first three tracks were mixed properly, this would be a five. With the lousy mixes included, particularly “Bad to the Bone”, it’s really a three and a half – closer to a four. Let’s hope they did better on the recently released “Inside the Music : New Wave”.

Lotion Folligen series

This is my first GPS watch – and I’ve been using my Forerunner 305 for 10 weeks (training for my first marathon). I had no idea I’d love it as much as I do – and now I can’t imagine ever wanting to run without it.
(1)The device setup was quick and easy.
(2)The data it collects easily uploads to my Mac.
(3)I charge the battery once a week.

My favorite things about it:
-User-friendly interface
-Helps me understand my pacing in real-time (I have always run alone, so this understanding is new for me)
-Can run the distances prescribed in my training plan whether I’m familiar with a geographical area or not (i.e. when traveling for business)

The things that bug me most (but aren’t deal-breakers):
-Wish the heart rate display could be bigger (the heart rate display is tiny compared with all other stats displayed)
-Wish I could add another element to the display – the current time. [Currently, I choose to display elapsed time, heart rate, pace, distance traveled.]
-Sometimes, it takes more than a few minutes to connect to a satellite. Most of the time the connection happens within a minute, though.

Today about by Topeak Nomad Allay

Just got my Tempo delivered today and my carpeted stairs are truly clean in a long while! Was really easy to assemble and I love all the on-board tools. Amazon had the lowest advertised price compared to Walmart, Kmart or Sears, so really good value.

Cool Patch Unlimited cable Cables

The HDMI cable did not work.
At the price it was offered, my quality expectations were rather low. This time I guess I lucked out.
The cable simply does not transmit any signal.

Jeremiah 14:14
Then the LORD said to me, “The prophets are prophesying lies in my name. I have not sent them or appointed them or spoken to them. They are prophesying to you false visions, divinations, idolatries [a] and the delusions of their own minds.”

Jeremiah 23:16-17
16 This is what the LORD Almighty says:
“Do not listen to what the prophets are prophesying to you;
they fill you with false hopes.
They speak visions from their own minds,
not from the mouth of the LORD.
17 They keep saying to those who despise me,
‘The LORD says: You will have peace.’
And to all who follow the stubbornness of their hearts
they say, ‘No harm will come to you.’

Lamentations 2:14

14 The visions of your prophets
were false and worthless;
they did not expose your sin
to ward off your captivity.
The oracles they gave you
were false and misleading.

In God’s pure goodness and love he does not want anyone to be left bound to their sin. This is why He paid the ultimate price to free us from sin. All we have to do is accept Christ, not just ignore our sin and pretend it doesn’t exisit. To say there is no sin and therefor no consequences is like saying “There is no such thing as fat in food, so eat up my friends! Enjoy! Rejoice!” Sure it sounds nice and is what we all want to hear, but is void of truth and will lead to complications and an early death. What we need is for our minds and bodies to no longer crave the all the fat, this takes an intrinsic change and a willingness to do so. What is traditionally know as sin is not really the problem, that is all forgiven. What is keeping people separted from God is the pride to not be willing to admit we NEED that forgiveness – that we can’t just have it any way we want, or wish our way out of turmoil and into peace – that we are NOT God, or even gods. We are not, and we cannot.

God is patient, he is waiting, calling, desiring your heart. I

I think that because this was required reading for me in High School when I read it I didn’t really absorb it because I felt forced to read something I wasn’t really interested in. Maybe because at that point in my life I was into bucking authority so some extent and, ironically much like the main character Holden Caulfield didn’t much like school. Now much later in life I decided to read it again to see why this book is still so popular nearly 60 years after it’s release.

Salinger was in his late twenties and early thirties when he wrote this book however it’s written like a teenager at the time might talk in terms of phrases, sentence structure, though processes etc,. and it’s very well written in that respect. It captures the angst and anger of youth, being somewhere between a boy and a man, wanting to be an adult but still having to rely on adults to a certain extent who are making decisions for you that you don’t necessarily agree with. This is the life of the books main character Holden Caulfield. Having re read the book I get it now. The story and emotions seemed familiar probably because I could reconcile it to my teenage years. I found Holden Caulfield to be fairly unlikable at times, he thought everything and almost everyone was dumb and then I wondered to myself was that peoples perception of me at times in my youth? At times inn my youth I was like Holden Caulfield in some ways. The last chapter of the book is Holden Caulfield reflecting on his youth . It really brought the book full circle and gives the reader a sense of Holden Caulfield the man being reflective on his youth.

The writing style in interesting because it’s written like someone is sitting with you telling a story keeping you involved in the conversation by using phrases like “I told you about that earlier” It’s writing in a one way conversational style.

Some of the phrases used in the book are a little Leave it to Beaverish by today’s standards. To off set that the God D… words app

Do you really love for Word s God ?

I am a very picky reader. Let’s put it this way, over half the books I pick up to read I do not finish because I lose interest. This book is by far one of the best books that I have ever read. I highly recommend it!!
